THE WRANGLER (EXECUTIVE COORDINATOR)
Back in 2008 I graduated from Illinois State University having studied Economics and International Marketing. Shortly after graduating, I walked into a martial arts dojo. You can call it luck, but they needed some help with local marketing and my decision to step out of my comfort zone had led me to my next opportunity.
Over the next 7 years I went from making flyers, YouTube videos and website content to building advanced Excel models and traveling the country to help transportation and logistics companies build or revamp their sales structures and compensation plans. I was even fortunate enough to spend some time working in Melbourne, Australia to help develop a piece of software for our clients. It felt like one resume builder after another was sent my way, but something was missing and I knew it was time to move on. So I took an opportunity to move to Denver with some childhood friends, got a Key Badge to work in the legal cannabis industry and haven’t looked back. Now I get to spend my time working to educate the public about the benefits of legal cannabis and I couldn’t be happier.
Favorite thing to buy at the dispensary: I’m not very original in this regard as I absolutely love flower. Concentrates are becoming more and more popular for good reason as extraction technology advances, particularly in regards to Live Resins. However, for me nothing beats shoving my nose into a jar of delicious homegrown buds or checking out the unique strains that Denver’s countless cultivation operations have been breeding. Banana Kush and Durban Poison are hands down my two favorites, but if you dig around you can find odd strains like Wavy Gravy, which actually smells like gravy. Good hunting!
Advice for visitors in Denver: If you are buying flower and have no clue what to pick, take the sage wisdom of Toucan Sam and follow your nose… it always knows.
